Trailblazing across the desert.

This is the new year and the new you. You can pass through another year, coasting on cruise control, or,

you can step out of your comfort zone, trying things you have never done before,

and make 2018 as the year that you elevate from where you are and soar high.

Make it happen!

Starting the year on the right path.

Or, many paths for that matter. There is so much to see out here, I wouldn’t have enough time before summer heat sets in. Right now is a perfect time to explore and go off the beaten paths a bit.

The warm sun just above the horizon feels good this 47F winter morning. Much warmer than yesterday, and I look forward to the tranquillity and peaceful surroundings.

I have an extreme fear of heights, but I still attempt to reach the mountain ridges and peaks within my abilities. If the dog can climb it, so can I. Coming down can be a little more challenging though.

My hiking companion is a seasoned hiker now.

The views are breathtaking, and no camera can capture the true experience.

I can see my car out there. Can you?

I can spend all day just sitting here, and seems I almost did. Time goes very fast when you are having fun.

A little memorial in the middle of nowhere was very intriguing.  A note to the lost loved one, along with some photos were placed between the rocks. I hope I did not disturb anything here.

My digital rock collection is getting bigger with each trip.

A little fire pit is a sign that humans were here!

From our family to yours, Happy New Year!

Since the Year as new, it is a fresh start to set new goals. Like a brand new chapter in life that is waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced, and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this transformative year of delight and self-discovery. Today, carve out a quiet interlude for yourself in which to dream, pen in hand. Only dreams give birth to change. Live your life to the fullest, and make this year better than the last one! Own it!

  1. Earth is an amazing place! I will go out my box this year, but with two feet on the ground!. lol. How long are your morning hikes? Do you work? 🙂

    1. It is indeed. Thank you. My hikes are usually 2-3 and sometimes 4 hours, but it all depends on location and weather, as well as what else do I want to accomplish that day. And yes, taking pictures and posting blog is work in itself. 🙂

      1. For some reason I thought you went on a daily walks out there. lol. Well it all makes more sense now. Yes, having a site is work…but not so bad if you enjoy what you do!
