Someone solved my problem!
While really not a problem, because I can venture out to any store and spend money on wine; making it was always something I wanted to try. The problem was, I never knew how, and the traditional way wasn’t something I was ready for and always seemed too complicated.
My grandmother and other family members made wine at home from all sorts of fruit and it was delicious! As a seven-year old, I had my first experience with grandma’s raspberry wine which was very memorable. No, it didn’t turn me into an alcoholic, but I did make me sleep the entire day after those three sips I took that almost gave my grandmother a heart attack. Since I rarely drink anything at all, when it comes to alcoholic beverages, I like to indulge in a glass of a good, red wine with my dinner. Knowing what really goes in it, and that I can make it all by myself, is something that puts excitement back to life. You’ll only understand, if you pay attention to the ingredients in our food and drinks like I do.
Now, thanks to David Murphy , a food blogger from New Jersey, my hobby just expanded to wine making. Seriously! And while I make it sound like a life saver, it really has made my decision of buying a pressure cooker that much easier. After my recent diet changes and adjustments to what, and how I cook my meals, I was contemplating on investing in a good pressure cooker this month. That amazing machine has now superpowers of making wine in a comfort of your own home! I just put my order in, and can’t wait for it to arrive! I guess my family will have to wait for dinner while I test it first with my wine recipe!
It is that simple.
The method if making wine in an instant pot involves only three ingredients:
Grape juice, which I would substitute with raspberries when in season.
Sugar and red wine yeast.
Oh yeah, and just a little patience!
The time to make it is just 48 hours , but the additional 8-10 days will make it ready for consumption. You can read detailed instruction here.
If you are a wine drinker, I hope you are as excited as I am about this cool Super Gadget!
